our partnership- roots young adult shelter

Freely Project is partnering with ROOTS Young Adult Shelter in Seattle, WA. Established in 1999, ROOTS was the first and is current the largest of its kind to offer overnight shelter in the city specifically designed to meet the needs of homeless young people. With a mission to build community and foster dignity through access to services, ROOTS aims to provide every young person with a safe place to call home.

our impact

ROOTS is open every night, housing 45 young people per night, and approximately 600 a year. Thirty-five percent of annual funding comes from corporate and individual donations. Freely Project has agreed to provide a quarterly donation to assist with funding services.
